Propane Ninja is seeking an experienced Installation Project Manager to oversee and coordinate propane installation operations from our Plant City office.
This role is responsible for managing project flow, scheduling, permitting coordination, technician support, inspections, customer communication, and operational execution across multiple active installation projects.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in propane, HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, utility, or related construction trades and understands how installation projects operate in the field — while being highly organized and capable of leading operations from the office environment.
This is primarily an office-based operational leadership role that requires strong field knowledge and construction trade experience.
The Installation Project Manager serves as a critical link between sales, permitting, field technicians, vendors, inspectors, and customers to ensure projects move efficiently from sale through completion.

Project Manager – Propane & Mechanical Systems
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination & Operational Oversight
● Manage installation projects from job approval through final inspection and closeout
● Coordinate scheduling, permitting, inspections, materials, and project timelines
● Oversee multiple active installation projects simultaneously while maintaining organization, urgency, and accountability
● Ensure projects are completed safely, correctly, on time, and inspection-ready
● Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks, scheduling conflicts, and project delays before they impact customers or field teams
● Support field technicians with troubleshooting, job coordination, and project-related problem solving
Office-to-Field Operations Management
● Serve as the operational communication hub between office staff, field technicians, sales, customers, permitting authorities, and leadership
● Coordinate closely with the Installation Service Coordinator and Permitting Coordinator to maintain project flow
● Review project details, site requirements, permits, and installation readiness prior to dispatching crews
● Assist with project prioritization, technician scheduling, and workload coordination
● Conduct occasional field visits or final walkthroughs when operationally necessary
Permitting, Compliance & Quality Control
● Maintain working knowledge of NFPA 58, FDACS requirements, and local permitting processes
● Ensure permit submissions, inspections, and
compliance milestones are completed on schedule
● Verify documentation accuracy, inspection readiness, and installation quality standards
● Help reduce rework, callbacks, inspection failures, and operational inefficiencies
● Protect the company from compliance and operational risk through proper oversight and documentation
Team Leadership & Customer Experience
● Support and help lead Field Service Technicians and installation personnel
● Reinforce the Ninja Standard through professionalism, accountability, communication, and safety
● Assist with onboarding, training, and performance development of installation team members
● Handle escalated customer or project issues in a calm, solutions-focused manner
● Ensure customers receive clear communication and a professional installation experience throughout the project lifecycle
Required Qualifications
● 3+ years of experience in propane, HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, utility, construction, or related regulated trades
● Prior experience coordinating projects, field operations, service teams, or installation workflows
● Strong understanding of construction scheduling, permitting, inspections, and installation processes
● Ability to effectively coordinate and support field operations from an office environment
● Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
● Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and fast-moving operational workflows
