Job Description:

Petrochemical CSR

Responsible for handling daily customer service duties and branch operational tasks.

Performs a variety of tasks related to selling Company products to Petrochemical Customers daily, Checking orders in the system, following up with manufacturers on projects and deliveries; assisting with projects.

Requirements:

- Ability to plan and organize.

- Excellent written and verbal communication and computer skills.

- Adequate vision with or without correction for verifying written detail

- Able to lift and carry 40lbs safely

- Eye/hand/feet coordination to sufficiently operate a vehicle safely.

- May be asked to travel, up to 10%, to customer locations.

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent knowledge of the petrochemical industry preferred.

- Pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Participates in same-day customer service activities including, but not limited to order entry and fulfilling customer requests such as: delivery, pricing, and technical information, supplying product and catalog information, handling customer complaints, problem solving, and reviewing accounts receivable information and order entry.

2. Training under the direction of the Petrochemical Group Manager and support team will include but is not limited to: GEC products and industry applications, National, State, and Local industry codes, computer functions, personal development programs, manufacturing training programs.

3. Works with customer service members and/or purchasing department closely providing input and information that will assist in maintaining a balanced inventory to meet customer needs.

4. Promotes excellent communications between inside sales, outside sales, accounting, other branches, purchasing, and management.

5. Learning systems and product limitations; Sizing pumps/compressors and valve flow calculations to ensure they are being applied properly.

6. Assisting with customer relations and maintaining customers expectations.

7. Participates in structured outgoing call programs in accordance with GEC policy.

8. Promotes open, on-going communication with branch teams.

9. Quotes prices and credit terms and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained.

10. Estimates date of delivery to Customer based on knowledge of Company's production and delivery schedules.

11. Manages accounts receivable to meet assigned goals.

12. Protects and maintains assigned Company assets.

13. Conducts duties and represents Company in a professional and ethical manner at all times.

14. Develops and maintains a thorough knowledge and understanding of products and regulations pertaining to our industries.

15. May perform other duties as assigned or as judgment or necessity dictates.
